The End

                                   The End

                                                                                                                09/2015

The last things I wrote about in the last session (The Middle) was that the ‘end time’ was started with the return of Israel as a nation in 1948, just as Jesus said it would in the ‘fig tree prophesy’.

And then we were told how long the end times would last, one generation. So if the beginning of end times occurred in 1948, my best guess is that the ‘End’ would occur in 2033, at the time of Jesus second coming, and I will write about the reasoning of this date (2033), in detail, in this article.

So what will happen between now and then (2033)? That is the other purpose of this section; the bible, I believe, has much to say about this time period.

………………………………………………..

I covered the sign that Jesus gave that indicated, ‘what the “sign” was that the beginning of the ‘end’ had occurred, in my article about the ‘Middle’. This is very important to the end times, so I will cover it again in this article, to refresh your memory.

 ‘Fig Tree Prophesy’

Jesus talks about the fig tree in Luke:21:29.

29He told them this parable: “Look at the fig tree and all trees. 30When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. 31Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.

So this is the third time Jesus talks about a fig tree, and just as the other two times he was talking about the fig tree, I believe the fig tree mentioned in this case also means Israel.

When Jesus is talking about the fig tree twigs getting tender and its green leaves come out, I believe, he is talking about Israel’s future rebirth as a nation in 1948 as being the ‘Sign’ that the beginning of end times has occurred.

The parable means that the fig tree, after a long winter of appearing lifeless and barren, shows it is alive through its green leaves appearing in the spring time. Just as the Jewish people, after almost 1900 years of not having their own nation (lifeless, barren, dead – perhaps ‘in the grave’), Israel showed that it was alive again (green leaves) by becoming a nation in 1948. I find these two verses in Ezekiel 37:12-13 very reveling:

12Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them.

It’s important to note that Jesus answers in sequence all three question from the disciples, so there should be little doubt about Jesus’ answer to the third question as being the ‘Fig tree proverb’, and that it is the ‘sign of the end of the age’. And this parable actually happened in 1948, and God had set the time of 1948 as the time of the end of punishment, for the Jewish nation of Israel, and the beginning of end times, which I covered in my article on ‘The Middle’.

Let’s continue with Luke verse 32-33.

32 “I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 33Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

What do you think verse 32 means?… 32 “I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

When Jesus says ‘until all these things have happened’, I believe He is talking about the last thing to happen in the first question; which was 27At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. This will be his second return to earth, which will happen at the end of the great tribulation. His first return was of course three days after His death on the cross in 33 AD and His return to heaven was witnessed by over 500 people. His second return to earth will be witnessed by everyone on earth.

In Luke 21:32, I believe that HE is telling us how long the end times will last from the beginning to end; one generation. So if the beginning of end times occurred in 1948, the ‘end’ will occur in one generation, at the time of His second coming.

So verse 32 is literally saying that some of those who were born in 1948 will personally see the second return of Jesus to earth.

I would think that your next question would be, ‘How long is a generation’?…

The average lift span today is around 72-74 years, which is to say, 50% die before this age and 50% live longer. We know that the longest lives go to about 100 years old, so I would think that what Jesus was talking about some where in between 72 and 100. I believe this ‘generation’ is 85 years in length.

So, ‘What would that date be?’…

If it were 85 years from 1948, then his return to earth would be around 2033. Is there anything special about this date?

                       …….…………………………………………………………..

Was there a hidden meaning in the ‘Transfiguration’ (Luke 9:28-36)?

There were two groups  His inner circle of three – (Peter, John and James) and (Jesus Moses and Elijah).

                     ↓                   ↓                    ↓                      ↓

               2              0              3                3

                         …………………….………………………………………….

It is 2000 years from Jesus’ crucifixion in 33 AD , and if He rules on earth another 1000 years, as it says in Revelation, it would be 3000 years total of His rule from heaven and earth, which

would end in 3033 (Three uses of 3). And as the number ‘3’ is used throughout the bible, so it is a very special number to God; but these are just interesting speculations. What we do know is that some of the generation born in 1948 will see his return to earth in his second coming….

The bibles prophets have been correct in their prophases about the past and present times (1948-starting of end times); so do they have anything to say about our immediate future and have they prophesied correctly about our future?

I believe that the first thing that the prophets predicted for our current age is that ‘Egypt will attack Russia’, which is in Daniel 11:36-43. These verses contain a brief explanation of what will happen over the next couple of years. I don’t know how or why, just that I believe it will happen.

Before July of 2013 I couldn’t imagine why Russia would be attacked by Egypt, as Egypt was being governed by an Islamist government with which Russia is politically aligned; of course that changed in July of 2013 when the Egyptian army took over the government of Egypt, and currently seems to be aligned with the United States.

In Daniel 11:40, Daniel talks about the king of the north and the king of the south. He doesn’t say that he is talking about Russia and Egypt, but taking the perspective of Daniel living in Israel, to the direct north of Israel is what is now called Russia and to the south is Egypt. These two countries are currently the heavy weight countries in their area.

Russia responds to the attack by Egypt by counter attacking Egypt, and it then conquers Egypt and plunders it; according to scripture Russia will, at a later time invade the Beautiful land of Israel. I will

later give the details of Russia’s attack on Israel that is detailed in Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39. Daniel 11:40-43 gives the details of Egypt’s attack on Russia and Russia’s response.

Daniel 11:40-45

40At the time of the ‘end’ the king of the south will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. 41He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. 42He will extend his power over many countries, Egypt will not escape. 43He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, and the Libyans and the Nubians in submission. 44But reports from the east and north will alarm him, and he will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.

We don’t currently know why this will happen, just that it does. If I were to speculate, perhaps if the Egyptian people were, for some reason, provoked into attacking the Russian embassy in Egypt. Russia could in turn respond by counter attacking Egypt. If my reading and interpretation of Daniel 11:40 is correct, this should happen around the end of 2015 or beginning of 2016. I will cover the date for this happening in greater detail later; when I talk about the timing of the building of the third Temple in Israel. The end result of Russia responding to the attack of Egypt is that Egypt is defeated and then Russia plunders Egypt of all its riches, which would fulfill Daniel 11:43.

The last verse, Daniel 11:44, ties directly to the prophesy by Ezekiel in chapters 38-39, which is covered in this article on pages 15-18, this prophesy basically says  that this ‘king of the north’, Putin, will die in this attempted take over of Israel.

Russia floats ruble as economy struggles

MOSCOW  ─  Plagued by the Western sanctions imposed over the Ukraine crisis and by falling oil prices, Russia’s economy is struggling and the ruble is taking a head-spinning drop, losing a third of its value since the beginning of the year and touching an all-time low this week.

On Monday, the national central bank decided to freely float the currency and shield it more from speculators.

The move, which aims to spare the central bank from burning billions in reserves on supporting the currency, highlights the extent of Russia’s economic decline. The country appears to be sliding towards recession. Investors are pulling money out or seeking the safety of foreign currencies.

For ordinary Russians, the currency’s plunge has fueled fear of a spike in inflation, as imports of goods like European  cars or U.S. clothes becoming more expensive.

Whereas the central bank previously was trying to keep the ruble from dropping by simply spending dollars to buy up rubles, that strategy has hit a wall. The bank had reserves of $510 billion

at the start of the year, but they stand at $400 million now. It spent $30 billion last month alone.

The central bank said Monday it would stop intervening every day in the market to keep the currency up and instead take aim at speculators.

To do that, it will limit loans to banks that use the money to go out and buy dollars. Central Bank Chief Elvira Nabiullina also said it will intervene “at any moment in the amount necessary to counter speculative demand.”

The currency strengthened on Monday’s news, trading up 2.3 percent at 45.6 rubles a dollar in late trading.

If the Russian economy continues to struggle for the next six to twelve months, it could explain why Russia counter attacks Egypt and plunders it of its riches.

 Isaiah 17: Destruction of Damascus

In the last days, the Bible tells us, a horrible series of events will take place in the lands of Israel and Syria. One of these events is the disappearance of Damascus as one of the premiere cities in the world. The oldest continuously inhabited city on the planet, Damascus has witnessed at least five thousand years of human history, and some historians believe the city actually dates back to the seventh millennium bc. In fact, Paul was on the road to Damascus when Christ first appeared to Him, an event that transformed not only his life, but the course of human history.

In the very near future, Damascus will once again play a major role in human events. The prophet Isaiah provides us with God’s commentary on a future conflict between Damascus and Israel, and in so doing, He reveals certain prophecies that have been partially fulfilled in the past. However, the ultimate fulfillment of Isaiah 17 remains in the future. The current existence of Damascus, which will one day cease to be a city, as well as the historical absence of the coalition of nations prophesied to attack Israel and be destroyed by God, is proof that Isaiah 17 prophesies events are in our future.

This is what God revealed to the prophet Isaiah, and Jeremiah in Isaiah 17:1-3 and Jeremiah 49:23-27.

Isaiah 17:1-3

1“This message came to me concerning Damascus: Look, Damascus will disappear! It will become a heap of ruins. 2The cities of Aroer will be deserted. Sheep will graze in the streets and lie down unafraid. There will be no one to chase them away.

Isaiah 17:1 “See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins.

 Jeremiah 49:23-27

 A Message About Damascus

23:1 Concerning Damascus: “Hamath and Arpad are dismayed, for they have herd bad news. They are disheartened, troubled like the restless sea. 24Damascusnas become feeble, she has turned to flee and panic has griped her; anguish and pain have seized her, pain like that of a woman in labor. 25Why has the city of renown not been abandoned, the town in which I delight? 26Surely, her young men will fall in the streets; all her soldiers will be silenced in that day,” declares the Lord Almighty.

27 “I will set fire to the wall of Damascus; it will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad.

These opening verses paint a bleak picture. The city of Damascus will become a heap of ruins, utterly destroyed. Few, if any, buildings will be left standing. The once great city will be devoid of human life and will become home to all manner of wildlife in the absence of humans to chase them away.

According to these verses, the cities of Aroer, which is located on the northern bank of the Arnon River just east of the Dead Sea, will also be deserted. However, the passage doesn’t say they will be destroyed in the same manner as Damascus, just that they will be deserted. It may be that people simply flee these cities out of fear.

8/15/2015 –

Now Isis controls a large portion of Syrian territory, but it doesn’t currently control the area of Damascus which is important because this is the area that is close enough to reach Israel by the missals that are currently in Syria; that ISIS will control when it gain full control of Syria. The following was copied from Joel Rosenberg’s Blog:

Consider the following headlines from the past few days:

The notion of the Islamic State having chemical weapons is a chilling one and a potential game-changer. The Kurds appear to have been the first ISIS target. But if ISIS has more such weapons stockpiles, against whom will they use them against next? The U.S.? Israel? One of our European allies? An Arab state like Jordan or Egypt?

As more information comes out, I’ll keep you informed. In the meantime, please keep praying for U.S., Western and Middle Eastern leaders to get serious about crushing and truly defeating ISIS, not just pinprick attacks that are not truly neutralizing this serious and growing threat.

Here are excerpts from the article in the Wall Street Journal:

  • Islamic State militants’ likely used mustard agent against Kurdish forces in Iraq this week, senior U.S. officials said Thursday, in the first indication the militant group has obtained banned chemicals. The officials said Islamic State could have obtained the mustard agent in Syria, whose government admitted to having large quantities in 2013 when it agreed to give up its chemical-weapons arsenal.
  • The use of mustard agent would mark an upgrade in Islamic State’s battlefield capabilities, and a worrisome one given U.S. intelligence fears about hidden caches of chemical weapons in Syria, where Islamic State controls wide swaths of territory. It raises new questions about the evolving threat posed by Islamic State and the ability of U.S. allies on the ground to combat it. Frontline Kurdish, Iraqi and moderate Syrian forces say they aren’t getting enough U.S. support now to counter Islamic State’s conventional capabilities. Officials say these forces may need specialized equipment and training to help protect them against unconventional weapons if they become a fixture on the battlefield.
  • U.S. intelligence agencies thought Islamic State had at least a small supply of mustard agent even before this week’s clash with Iraqi Kurdish fighters, known as the Peshmerga, U.S. officials said. That intelligence assessment hadn’t been made public.
  • The attack in question took place late Wednesday, about 40 miles southwest of Erbil in northern Iraq. A German Defense Ministry spokesman said about 60 Peshmerga fighters, who help protect Kurdish areas in northern Iraq, were reported to have suffered injuries to their throats consistent with a chemical attack while fighting Islamic State.
  • Mustard agent, first employed as a weapon in World War I, can cause painful burns and blisters, immobilizing those affected by it, but it are usually deadly only if used in large quantities….
  • The possibility that Islamic State obtained the agent in Syria “makes the most sense,” said one senior U.S. official. It is also possible that Islamic State obtained the mustard agent in Iraq, officials said, possibly from old stockpiles that belonged to Saddam Hussein and weren’t destroyed. U.S. intelligence agencies are still investigating the source and how it could have been delivered this week on the battlefield, officials said.
  • Islamic State has taken control of territory in Syria close to where President Bashar al-Assad’s forces stored chemical weapons, including mustard agent. The regime said in 2013 that all of its mustard stockpiles had been destroyed, either by Syrian forces themselves or by international inspectors…..
  • Hamish de Bretton-Gordon, a former commanding officer of the British army’s chemical-weapons unit, said the use of mustard agent by Islamic State could give a boost to the group’s psychological warfare campaign. “You mention chemical weapons, people immediately freeze and are irrational. That’s why Islamic State wants to use them,” he said.

                                                               ————————–

In reading Joel’s Blog, it would seem to me that ISIS not only has mustard gas, but also has Saran gas which is a chemical weapon of mass destruction. It also has the resolve to use either or both of them. The only thing lacking is the ability to be close enough to Israel to deliver them via missals.

If ISIS gains control of Damascus would it then use missals with chemical weapons in them to attack Israel? I have no doubt that this is exactly what will happen.

                                                         Today’s Headlines

Looking at today’s geopolitical landscape, it’s not difficult to envision the scenario outlined in Isaiah 17 and Psalms 83. ISIS is growing stronger and stronger and gaining more and more territory and recruits. I think ISIS believes that it can be victorious in a conflict with Israel by simply overwhelming the tiny nation with rocket attacks, followed by their superior army in a war with Israel; especially since Allah is on their side. On a greater perspective, ISIS will convince the entire Islamic world that Israel isn’t the militarily invincible nation it once thought; especially sine Israel is now alienated from the United States.

At this point Syria is fully involved in its own internal war with ISIS to determine which faction will rule Syria. Once this problem is resolved in ISIS’s favor, I believe their hatred will be focused on Israel. When ISIS miscalculates and attacks Israel with these chemical weapons, inside their rockets; the Israeli response could be swift and devastating. Israel is armed with nuclear weapons, and if its survival is put in question, it will not hesitate to use them. And if Israel does use them to destroy Damascus; the radiation left behind in Damascus would explain why Damascus is no longer populated by humans.

If this happens, the surrounding Muslim nations would be inflamed and see an opportunity to destroy Israel; while Russia as well as being aligned with these Muslim nations, will see an opportunity to seize the upper hand in the oil-rich Middle East, as well as taking over the oil-rich Israel, and the tremendous fields of natural gas off-shore in Israel. If nuclear weapons are used by Israel against Syria, the Russian coalition would then also have the moral high ground, and this could also explain why no other nation comes to the aid of Israel, as is outlined in Ezekiel 38 & 39.

……………………………………………………..

Could the events predicted in Isaiah 17 and Psalms 83 be tied to, or a precursor of the war of Gog and Magog as prophesied in Ezekiel 38-39? Although it is not a certainty, the possibility cannot be completely ruled out.

In Ezekiel 38-39, ‘Many Nations” will combine and send their armies against Israel, “a vast and awesome horde will roll down on Israel like a storm and cover the land like a cloud” (Ezekiel 38:9, NIV).

This prophesied future war in Ezekiel has many similarities to Isaiah 17:12-14. Both prophets foresee a time when enemy armies rush toward Israel while she awaits unprepared. Both prophets foresee God’s instantaneous destruction of Israel’s enemies. And in both scenarios, the marching armies intended to plunder and destroy the people of Israel:

The modem names for the ‘Many Nations’ that Ezekiel is talking about in chapter 38 are Russia, Iran, Sudan, Ethiopia, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Turkey, Armenia, Syria, and Lebanon. (These countries names were taken from ‘Epicenter’ by Joel Rosenberg, page l22). It’s interesting to note that, ‘In the history of Russia and Iran, there has never been an alliance of these two nations until now”.

 Ezekiel 38:14-23

14“Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety will you not take notice of it? 15You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. 16You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, 0 Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I show myself holy through you before their eyes.”

17 ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Are you not the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel? At that time they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them. 18This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord. 191n my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. 211 will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Every man‘s sword will be against his brother. 221 will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed; I will poor down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him. 23And so I will show my greatness and my holiness and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord’.

 Ezekiel 39: 4-8, 11-13

4On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you. I will give you as food to the wild animals. 5You will fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord. 6I will send fire on Magog, and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the Lord.

7“ ‘I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the Lord am the Holy One in Israel. 8It is coming! It will surly take place, declares the Sovereign Lord. This is the day I have spoken of.

11“‘On that day I will give Gog a burial place in Israel, in the valley of those who travel east toward the Sea. It will block the way of travelers, because Gog and all his hordes will be buried there. So it will be called the Valley of Hamon Gog.

12“‘For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land. 13All the people of the land will bury them, and the day I am glorified will be a memorable day for them, declares the Sovereign Lord.

I believe that the ‘Gog’ referred to in Ezekiel is the leader of Russia (Putin), and I believe that Putin is also the seventh King of Rev 17:9-11:

9 “This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits. 10They are also seven kings, five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come: but when he does come, he must remain for a little while. 11The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.

Who are these seven kings? I believe that these are the (5) countries and rulers, that have ruled over Israel, (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, and Grease). The one that ‘is’, at the time this passage was written, was Rome. Israel was destroyed by Rome in 70 AD, therefore the seventh king could not have come until after Israel was reestablish in 1948, and will be Russia with their leader as the seventh King-Putin (Gog). He will remain for a ‘little while’, and will attempt to attack Israel in our future. ‘The beast’ that once was, and now is ‘not’, will also indwell the ‘eighth king’, the anti-Christ.

The beast who once was and now is not, is the Devil, who was on the earth several times in the past; the last time he was on earth, that we are aware of, was to tempt Jesus during the 40 days and nights just before Jesus started His mission on earth.

The army that Ezekiel talks about as attacking Israel is many millions of men, the army is so large that it covers the ground like a ‘cloud’ and all of these men are killed on the mountains of Israel. The nations that are going to attack Israel have armies that total over 8 million men. The highest amount of men that were killed in a single battle was 1.1 million in the battle of Stalingrad in WW2 that occurred from September 1942 – January 31, 1943. I believe this battle will top that one. There are so many dead (I believe, 4 million or more) that it will take Israel seven months to bury all the dead.

I believe what will happen is, after this large army of the Russians and Islamic nations is destroyed by God, the radical Islamic faction will not believe that God was the cause of this overwhelming army being wiped out on the mountains of Israel. Their ‘God’ is Allah, and according to the Koran he is on the side of Islam, so this disaster, from their perspective, could not been at the hand of God. Perhaps they will say that ‘special forces’, from the American Army infiltrated this Islamic and Russian army and started the confusion by turning their weapons on their supposed compatriots and firing on them. Therefore they could blame the United States for their destruction and could retaliate…. As is indicated by Revelation 12:17

17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring —  those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Here the dragon, means the devil, and the woman means Israel.

‘Those who obey God’s commandment and believe in the testimony of Jesus’ are Christens, and by far the largest christen community is in the United States. Therefore I believe that what could happen is Russia and Iran, two countries that already believes that the United States is aligned with the devil, will make war with us; just as Iraq did, only this time it could be much more deadly. Because I believe this time they would use nuclear weapons. They might even choose the same areas in the United States to attack that Iraq did, or it could be a full scale attack.

Ezekiel 39:6 reads that God will send fire on Russia and Iran, “I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands and they will know that I am the Lord”

We don’t know what form the fire will take, it could be from space, from volcanoes or nuclear missiles. If Russia and Iran chose to collaborate in a nuclear attack on the United States, it would definitely explain the above ‘Ezekiel 39:6’, and the United States would, regrettably, retaliate with a nuclear attack of their own on the attacking countries.

Now that I’ve outlined a few things that I believe could happen in the near future, does the bible spell out when these events will happen? I think that the best answer for this is indirectly in Daniel 8:8-14, 26.

8“The goat became very great, but at the height of his power his large horn was broken off and in its place four prominent horns grew up toward the four winds of heaven. 9Out of one of them came another horn, which started small but grew in power to the south and to the east and toward the beautiful land..14He said to me, “It will take 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be reconsecrated… . . 26The vision of evenings and mornings that has been given you is true, but seal up the vision for it concerns the distant future.”

And in the explanation of the vision, Gabriel says in Daniel 8:17:

17“Son of man understand that the vision pertains to the time of the end.”

In both of these visions, the heavenly entities indicates that these visions will not come true until the distant future. “It will take 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be reconsecrated”…  If we take a look at 2300 evenings and mornings, these could not be days for if it were days this distant future would have already past; and as the third temple still has not been built, much less consecrated, I don’t believe that days are indicated. I believe the time is 2300 years, but it still does you no good unless you have a start time for the 2300 years. After spending considerable time thinking and studding these passages the only thing that seemed like it could be a timing event was Daniel 8:8-9. In verse 8 Daniel is obviously talking about Alexander the Great and his four generals that took over after he died, then in verse nine I believe Daniel is talking about the time of the end, the ‘horn’ he is referring to, I believe is the ‘beast’ of the end days; because several of the things that are said in Daniel verses 11-12 are done, according to Revelations, by the beast during the end times. In the future He will stop the sacrifices, and defile the third temple by entering it at the middle of tribulation:

Daniel 8:9-14

9Out of one of them came another horn, which started small but grew in power to the south and east and toward the Beautiful Land. (Israel) 10It grew until it reached the host of heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to earth and trampled on them. 11It set itself up to be as great as the Prince of the host; it took away the daily sacrifice from him, and the place of his sanctuary was brought low. 12Because of rebellion, the host of the saints and the daily sacrifice were given over to it. It prospered in everything it did, and truth was thrown to the ground.

13Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to him, “How long will it take for the vision to be fulfilled ─the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, the rebellion that causes desolation, and the surrender of the sanctuary and of the host that will be trampled underfoot?”

14He said to me, “It will take 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be reconsecrated.”

In verse 14 I believe Daniel gives us the key to solving this puzzle. He is saying that the ‘Temple’ will be reconsecrated in 2300 years, the first and second temples were consecrated and then destroyed so, this could only be the third Temple. So if we can find the beginning date for the 2300 years, we will know the date the third temple will be actually consecrated.

Often when the bible is speaking of a day, it means a year. If it means a ‘year’, then the 2300 years could be added to the date one of the individuals of the four horns dies (Daniel 8:9 Out of one of them came another horn) I believe that this is saying that from one of these four generals will come either the false prophet or the beast of the end times. The individuals that were the four horns, and that arose after Alexander the great died were Ptolemy, Cassandar, Lysimachus, and Seleucus. The last two, Lysimachus and Seleucus were the last of the four to die, and they died the same year 281BC. If we add 2300 years to 281BC we get 2019AD. And therefore, I believe that 2019 will be the year the third temple is consecrated in Israel. (Daniel 8:14 It will take 2300 evenings and mornings: then the sanctuary will be reconsecrated). If we allow building time for the temple, which the Israelites are saying will take two years, and another seven months for burying the dead of Ezekiel’s war in chapter 38-39, we would come back to around  the middle or the end of 2016. Thus I believe we have a date for the war in Ezekiel 38-39. I believe that before the temple can be built, two things have to happen, fist the mosque that is now standing on the temple mount has to be destroyed. And, I believe that a lot of the more militant Muslims must die. I also believe that Ezekiel 38 and 39 accomplish both of these things.

Ezekiel 38:19-20

191n my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground.

In Ezekiel 38:19-20 it says that at the time that Gog attacks Israel there will be a great earthquake in Israel, so great that ‘every wall will fall to the ground’; as the mosque that now stands in Israel has walls, my assumption is that this mosque will be destroyed in this earthquake. I also believe that many of the more militant Islamist will join this Russian coalition in the attempted attack on Israel and will die in Gods wrath. Thus the way will be cleared for the Israelites to build the third Temple, and they will dedicate this third temple on the Passover of 2019, just as Daniel indicates in 8:14. (It will take 2300 evenings and mornings: then the sanctuary will be recons crated.)

As for Egypt attacking Russia, and Russia responding with a counter attack on Egypt. And Damascus being destroyed, I believe that these things will happen before the war of Ezekiel 38-39. So that would put these two things as happening between the end of 2015 and the first half of 2016.

The next thing that could happen, after the dedication of the Temple, that I believe will happen during the second half of 2019, is that the false prophet will turn 30. And just as all Gods apostles started their apostleship at 30, as well as Jesus starting his mission, also at the age of 30. The false prophet will become known to the world at age 30, in the second half of 2019. I believe the Muslims will call him the Twelfth Imam and he will unite all the Muslims on the earth and they will eventually all back the anti-Christ, who will come on the seen in a few years after the false prophet. This false prophet and the anti-Christ will have an unbreakable relationship during their entire time on earth. Their relationship will mirror the relationship that John and Jesus had, but their relationship will be based on the evil that they will do on the earth, instead of the good that John and Jesus did.

I believe that the anti-Christ will come on the seen six month to three years after the false prophet becomes known to the world, probably around 2020/3. The following, in Rev 13:2 and Daniel 9:26, is a description of the anti-Christ, who is also known as the beast.

Rev 13:2 The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like that of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and his great authority. 3One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast. 4Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?”

5The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. 6He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. 7He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast─all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.

I believe that the anti-Christ will come on the seen in the early to mid 2020’s and will become the leader of Grease, in the mid 2020’s he will become the leader of the 10 nation confederation, and in 2029 he will be the leader of the entire world.

Daniel 9:26 …The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary.

The explanation of Daniel 9:26 is this: The Romans (people of the ruler who will come) destroyed the city (Jerusalem) and the Temple (sanctuary) in 70 AD. So the ruler to come will have a Roman heritage, and therefore the antichrist will look like the classic Roman. Rev 13:2 tells us that the beast resembles a leopard, as the leopard is associated in the bible with Greece, so I believe the beast will be from Greece and have a lot of pride, will speak very boastfully and like the lion be able to back up what he says. His speech is skillful and mesmerizing to the huge audiences that listen to him, no one in history has been able to completely capture and convince people that their ideas are right, like the beast can. The feet of a bear is a reference to Persia (The feet do most of the grunt work for the body, the false prophet will do most of the grunt work for the anti-Christ); so the second beast or false prophet will probably come from Persia, and Satan controls both of them. They will work as if they were one individual, for their thoughts come from the same source. However, I don’t believe the second beast will formally recognize the first beast as God until the beginning of the great tribulation.

(Rev 13:3) – I believe that the beast will suffer a fatal head wound during the time he is taking over the ten nation confederation, and Satan will restore him to life and Satan will then give the beast his full powers at the middle of tribulation. He will gain control over the ten nation confederation, after defeating 3 of the kings of the 10 nation confederation, sign the peace agreement with Israel at the beginning of the seven year tribulation. During the next 3 ½ years there will be continuous war, and all the nations of the world will fall under the beasts control at the mid point of tribulation.

There is at least one more significant thing that will happen before tribulation starts, according to Rev 3:10 the rapture will happen before tribulation begins.

Revelation 3:10

10Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.

I believe that by the way this statement is phrased, that Jesus is talking ‘literally’ to the people of our generation. And that the seven churches that are talked about in Revelation chapters 2&3; Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea. Represent the churches from the age that Jesus first founded the church, and taught the elect, while he walked on the earth; until the church age comes to a close at the mid point of tribulation. Now let’s take a look at the entire message He gave to the church of Philadelphia.

To the Church in Philadelphia

 Revelation 3:7-13

3:7“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:

These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 8I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. 9I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars─I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. 10Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trail that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.

11I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, Which is coming down out of haven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name. 13He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

I believe that (Rev 3:7-11) is true, which would mean that ‘we Christians’ who are living today are the Philadelphian church and that we will be taken away in the rapture. I believe the rapture will happen in late 2022, because this date would fall right in the middle of the time frame between the third temples completion and the beginning of tribulation in 2026; which would be 3½ years from the temple being completed (early 2019) and 3½ years until the tribulation starts in the year 2026. After the Philadelphian church is gathered in the rapture, the Laodicea church age will begin. When the elect of the Laodicea church is gathered, at the mid point of tribulation, and the rest of the dead from the first five churches (which are combined and called ‘The Great Multitude’ in Revelation 7:9), the church age would then come to a close. (For more information on all these things I have talked about in this last section refer to my article on Revelation)

I believe that Ezekiel gives us a broad brush chronological overview of the end times with the four major themes that he covers in chapters 37-43. The first theme is covered in Chapter 37 and concerns the Israelites return to their own nation, which was established in 1948; and is  also the sign that the end times has begun.  And, of course, both of these have already happened.

The second theme of Ezekiel is in chapters 38-39 and concerns the war of Gog and Magog (which is the Russian and Islamic confederacy setting up for an attack against Israel, which God completely destroys on the holy mountains of Israel).  I also believe this event is called seal number four in the bible. [Again for more information on this, look at my article on Revelation]. Chapter 38:19 indicates that a very large earthquake will occur in Israel, so large that ‘every wall will fall to the ground’ as the Mosque, that’s in Jerusalem, has ‘walls’, I believe this Mosque will be destroyed in this earthquake; the occurrence of these two events will clear the way for the third temple to be built.

38:191n my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground.

The third theme of Ezekiel is chapters 40-42, in these chapters the discussion is mainly focused on the extensive dimensions of every aspect of the third temple. It is interesting to note that while these dimensions were written by Ezekiel well before the second temple was built, the second temple was not built to these dimensions. These dimensions were obviously intended for the third temple which Ezekiel chapter 43 makes very clear by indicating that, ‘Jesus will walk into this temple upon his second return to earth’.

I believe that there are two major occurrences between the third theme of Ezekiel (the third temple being completed) and the fourth theme of Ezekiel (Jesus’ second return to earth) . I believe that sometime after the third temple is built and before the tribulation starts, that the rapture will occur, at the mid point between these two events (2022). I believe that God has put quite a few prophesies that will come true before the rapture to give everyone plenty of time, and evidence that the Bible is true; for non believers to repent and turn to Jesus. If they miss the rapture, they will have no one to blame but themselves.

I’ve written about the fall of Damascus as a city, the war between Egypt and Russia (the war of Gog and Magog), and the building of the temple and the rapture, because the point of this entire message is that the bible contains exactly what is going to happen in our future, and the bible was written by God. If you currently do not believe in God, this message is intended for you. God is in control of our future, and your eternal future rests on whether or not you believe in the one true God. If you choose to ignore this warning, the rapture will take place without you, and you will face a very difficult future for seven years in length after the rapture from 2022 until 2029, which will be the mid point of tribulation. At this point there will be a second gathering of the elect; a second chance, if you will, for christens to belong to Gods kingdom; but those three and a half years, from the beginning of tribulation to the middle of tribulation will be hell on earth.

Revelation 7:9-17

9 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10And they cried out in a loud voice:

“Salvation belongs to our God,

who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

11All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying:

“Amen!

Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor

And power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!

13Thenone of the elders asked me, “These in white robes─who are they, and where did they come from?”

14I answered, “Sir, you know.”

And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15Therefore,

“they are before the throne of God

And serve him day and night in his temple;

And he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.

16Never again will they hunger;

Never again will they thirst.

The sun will not beat upon them,

Nor any scorching heat.

17For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd;

He will lead then to springs of living water.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

And, of course, the other major occurrence is the starting of the great tribulation, and ends with Jesus’ second return to earth, which is covered in Ezekiel 43:1-12.

 Ezekiel 43:1-12

1Then the man brought me to the gate facing east 2and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the roar of rushing waters, and the land was radiant with his glory. 3The vision I saw was like the vision I had seen by the Kebar River, and I fell facedown. 4The glory of the Lord entered the temple through the gate facing east. 5Then the spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inter court, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.

6While the man was standing beside me, I heard someone speaking to me inside the temple. 7He said: ‘Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place for the soles of my feet. This is where I will live among the Israelites forever. The house of Israel will never again defile my holy name ─ neither they nor their kings ─ by their prostitution and lifeless idols of their high places. 8When they placed their threshold next to my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorpost, with only a wall between me and them, they defiled my holy name by their detestable practices. So I destroyed them in my anger. 9Now let them put away from me their prostitution and lifeless idols of their kings, and I will live among them forever.

10Son of man, describe the temple to the people of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their sins. Let them consider the plan, 11and if they are ashamed of all they have done, make known to them the design of the temple ─ its arrangement, its exits and entrances ─ its whole design and all its regulations and laws. Write these down before them so that they may be faithful to its design and follow all its regulations.

12“This is the law of the temple: All the surrounding area on the top of the mountain will be most holy. Such is the law of the temple.

Interesting to note that in verse 8 God talks about destroying the Israelite nation over 500 years before doing it in 70 AD. (8……So I destroyed them in my anger.– written by Ezekiel during his lifetime, around 500BC).

This section of chapter (Rev) 7:9-17 that you have just read is very important because it tell us what happens between the end of the first half of tribulation and the beginning of the second half of tribulation.

The great multitude that you have just finished reading about has been gathered and accepted into heaven; the great multitude, I believe, is all christens that have lived on earth staring with the time Jesus walked on the earth, and ends with the Laodicea church, except for those that were gathered in the rapture. The christens gathered in the rapture are christens of the Philadelphian church which were rewarded for their faith in Jesus and God by not having to suffer thru the period of distress just before the tribulation starts and the first half of tribulation itself. After the rapture, the Laodicea Church starts and lasts a total of approximately 7 years (2022-2029) and this time frame may well include nuclear war and a lot of tumultuous situations; the ones that overcome their lack of faith during this period of time will become the Laodicea Church because they truly believe in God and will be part of the great multitude. The bible gives a summary of this period of time, which includes the first half of tribulation, in Revelation 6:14-17.

Revelation 6:14-17

14The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed its place.

15Then kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. 16They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face on him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17For the great day of their has come, and who can stand?

This same time frame also tells us what the spiritual leadership will be for the second half of tribulation. The church age is over with the completion of the first half of tribulation, and Revelation 7:1-8 tells us about 144,000 sealed individuals form Israel who will teach the world about God during the second half of tribulation.

Do you think He wants you to do anything about what is going to happen in our future? …

I believe the answer to this questions is answered in:

Daniel 12:1-4

1At that time Michael the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people ─ everyone whose name is found written in the book will be delivered. 2Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. 3Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of heaven, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. 4But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.”

I believe that verse three of Daniel 12, ‘3Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of heaven, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever….’, is the main reason that God has told us in prophecies what is going to happen in our future.

What does verse four mean? 4But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.”…

To me this means that for thousands of years the verses of Daniel would not be understood, but at the time of the end the meaning of  these verses would become clear. I believe that we are now 67 years into the time of the end (as of 2015) and the time is now for these verses to be understood. Do I have the answers, I am not positive that I do, but I do believe the answers that I have provided are logical. And that they could be the answer about our future.

A final thought, if these prophecies start to happen in your future, what will you think and what, if anything, will you do? …

Your eternal future will depend on your answers to this question.

Am I a watchman for our current generation, do these words from:

Ezekiel,  apply to us?

Ezekiel 3:17-19

17“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear  the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18When I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surly die,’ and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 19But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.

Now let’s continue on with verse 3 of Matthew 24.

3As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?”

So we are now ready to go to question two in Matthew 24:3 ─

(What will be the sign of your (second) coming.)

 Luke 21:25

25“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken, 27At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28When these things begin to take place, Stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

I believe verse 25 ( There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars.) answers the question as to what the ‘signs’ on earth will be, when Jesus makes his second return to earth; just as he gave us the sign for the first question, he now gives the sign for the second question. Verse 26 indicates how all the people on earth will react to these signs, verse 27 indicates that ‘at that time all men will see Jesus’, and verse 28 would indicate that the ‘righteous’ should be happy because their time on earth is drawing to a close, and that then they will soon be in heaven. So I would say, yes these verses answer the second question─(What will be the sign of your coming)?

So in verses 25-28 we are given the sign for the end of tribulation and Jesus’ return to earth, in his second coming; let me now ask you a question. Does the beginning of tribulation also have a sign?

I believe that the beginning of tribulation will also have a sign….

Let’s turn to Joel 2:30-31

30I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 31The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.

Is this the sign that tribulation is starting? This reading of Joel sounds a lot like the opening of seal number 6, which reads in:

Revelation 6:12-14

12The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, 13and the stars in the sky fell to the earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. 14The sky receded like a scroll rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.

There are so many similarities between these two verses that I think they are talking about the same event. The sun is black and the moon is red in both verses; there are wonders in heaven and on the earth in both verses; the stares falling to earth, the sky receding like a scroll, every mountain and island being removed from its place would certainly qualify as wonders in heaven and on earth.

The thing that makes these two verses different is the qualifier in Joel’s account of this event as happening, “before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord”.

So, in Joel 2:30-31, what do you think, “before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord”, means?… The ‘dreadful day of the Lord’ to me sounds like the beginning of tribulation.

If it is tribulation starting, then seal number six starts the tribulation. If this is true it would also mean that seals one thru five open before tribulation starts. This would put a few more pieces of the end times in place. For more information about what you have just read and what you are about to read about the seals, refer to my article on ‘Revelation’, which will give you more in-depth information on the seals.

Seals 1-5

The following are what I believe seals one thru five are about: seal one is the birth of the false prophet, seal number two is the birth of the antichrist, seal number three is the starting of the war between the Muslims and Christens which occurred on 9/11/2001 and will last until the year 2029, seal number four is the war that is listed in Ezekiel 38, 39, and seal number five is the rapture; again if you want more detail on this refer to my article on ‘Revelation’.

And now we are ready to go to the all important third question,

Matthew 24:3 What will be the “sign of the end of the age” (starting).

I would note that in Luke the verses 20-24 answer the first question, verses 25-28 answer the second question, and therefore, shouldn’t the verses 29-31 answer the third question?

29He told them this parable: “Look at the fig tree and all trees. 30When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. 31Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.

Verses 29-31 is a parable and not easily understood. However it is easy to understand why Jesus would not give a clearly discernable answer to the third question ‘what will be the sign that will start the end on the age’.

I believe that it is because God did not want anyone to know that they were in the end time until we were actually well into the end times. And I believe verse 4 of Daniel 12 tells us that the scroll of the seven seals as well as other end times prophesy is closed and sealed until the end times. Which I believe we are now well into.

(67 years as of 2015, if the end times started in 1948)

12:4But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.

We are now well into ‘the end of the age’. Could the parable in Luke, verses 29-31 be the sign that starts the ‘end of the age’, and as we are now well into the end time, is it not now the time that all these parables be understood?

To find out we need to try to figure out what this parable means.

29He told them this parable: “Look at the fig tree and all trees. 30When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. 31Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.

What does this parable mean to you?…

I believe the answer to (“What will be the sign of the end of the age?), is contained in this parable. Now to figure out what it means, we have to look for clues within parable, and the first sentence gives us a clue. He says look at the fig tree and all trees, why didn’t he just say look at all trees, after all the fig tree is just another tree. So I believed that there is some special significance to the word ‘fig tree’; one day while I was reading MacArthur’s study bible I read the following:

In MacArthur’s study bible Luke 13:6, MacArthur says this about the fig tree:

Fig Tree: Often used as a symbol for Israel.”

If the fig tree is often used as a symbol for Israel, Lets look for other instances where Jesus talked about a ‘fig tree’, and see if he is also talking about the nation of Israel. I found a total of three times that Jesus talked about a fig tree. After I had studied them for a while, I concluded that in each instance that he was indeed talking about the nation of Israel.

The first time he talks about a fig tree is in Luke 13:6 and it is also a parable. We interpreted this parable earlier (on page 19 of this article), so I will only list the parable.

Luke 13:6

6Then he told this parable: A man had a fig tree, planted in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any. 7So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’

8“’Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. 9If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’ ”

So now lets go on to the second time he talks about a fig tree, it occurs in Matthew 21:18. I believe this parable is a follow up on the parable we have just talked about, as Jesus had just about completed his mission in Israel and just a few days later, He would be nailed to the cross.

Matthew 21:18

18Early in the morning, as he was on his way back to the city he was hungry.19Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it,“May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.

20When the disciples saw this they were amazed. “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked.

At first glance this parable seems to be pretty straight forward, Jesus was hungry, He went to the fig tree expecting to eat figs, and when there were none, He got mad and killed the tree….   This is God (Jesus) we are talking about, the knower of all things. He would have known in advance of approaching the fig tree that there were no figs on the tree; secondly if Jesus wanted there to be figs on the tree, there would have been. Remember the feeding of the 5,000 and then of the 10,000 from one basket? He certainly had the power to put figs on the fig tree.

The following is what I believe the (withering of the fig tree) was about; it was a fiscal manifestation of what was going to happen in the future to fruitless Israel (as indicated by verse 19 “Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves.” (No figs on the tree stands for Israel still not bearing fruit-(not believing in God.)).

Israel did not recognize ‘The time of the messiah’; it did not respond to his teachings, healing of the sick, and the other ‘signs’ He performed; wine from water, feeding the 5,000 and 10,000 from one basket, walking on water and raising Lazarus from the dead, which are a few of the signs ‘He performed’. By not recognizing ‘The time of the messiah’, the Jewish kingdom also rejected the kingdom of heaven, which was at that time available to them; all they would have had to do was, “repent”. (see Mathew 4:17)

Then ‘they’ put him to death on the ‘cross’, therefore the nation of Israel would wither away just as the fig tree did; and Israel’s withering away started in 70AD and ended in 1948 when it was reestablished as a nation.

(This parable also actually happened)

The third time Jesus talks about the fig tree is in Luke:21:29.

Just as the Jewish people, after almost 2000 years of not having their own nation (lifeless, barren, dead – perhaps ‘in the grave’), Israel showed that it was alive again (green leaves) by becoming a nation in 1948.

And once again this parable actually happened in 1948, and God had set the time of 1948 as the time of the end of punishment for the Jewish nation of Israel which began in 606 BC, and the beginning of end times.

So in verses 25-28 we are given the sign for the end of tribulation, and Jesus return to earth, in his second coming.

Lets continue with Luke verse 32-33.

This will be his second return to earth, which will happen at the end of tribulation.

I believe that this is telling us how long the end times will last from the beginning to end; one generation. So if the beginning of end times occurred in 1948, the ‘end’ will occur in one generation, at the time of His second coming.

So verse 32 is literally saying that some of those who were born in 1948 will personally see the second return of Jesus to earth.

I would think that your next question would be, ‘How long is a generation’?

The average lift span today is around 72-74 years, which is to say, 50% die before this age and 50% live longer. We know that the longest lives go to about 100 years old, so I would think that what Jesus was talking about some where in between 72 and 100. I believe this ‘generation’ is 85 years in length.

So, ‘What would that date be?’…

If it were 85 years from 1948, then his return to earth would be around 2033.

Is there anything special about this date?…

It would be 2000 years from his crucifixion, and if he rules on earth another 1000 years, as it says in Revelation, it would be 3000 years total of his rule from heaven and earth. And as the number ‘3’ is used throughout the bible it is a very special number to God; but these are just interesting speculations. What we do know is that some of the generation born in 1948 will live to see his return to earth in his second coming. Luke 21:32 “I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

The  bibles prophets have been correct in their prophases about the past and present times (1948); so do they have anything to say about our immediate  future; and have they prophesied correctly about our future?  I will write about this in the next section, the End Times.

The End Times

 Happenings

I believe that the first significant thing that the prophets predicted for our current age is that Damascus will be completely destroyed and then that ‘Egypt will attack Russia’. I don’t know how or why, just that it will happen. Before July of 2013 I couldn’t imagine why Russia would be attacked by Egypt, as it was being governed by an Islamist government with which Russia is politically aligned; of course that changed in July of 2013 when the Egyptian army took over the government of Egypt.

I will later give the details of Russia’s attack on Israel that is detailed in Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39. Daniel 11:40-43 gives the details of Egypt’s attack on Russia and Russia’s response.

Daniel 11:40-43

40At the time of the end the king of the south will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships.

We don’t currently know why this will happen, just that it does. If I were to speculate, perhaps if the Egyptian people were, for some reason, provoked into attacking the Russian embassy in Egypt. Russia could in turn respond by counter attacking Egypt. If my reading and interpretation of Daniel 11:40 is correct, this should happen around the second half of 2015.

(Note:  On 11/11/12014 The following article appeared in the Santa Rosa, Ca. Press Democrat.)

The bank had reserves of $510 billion at the start of the year, but they stand at $400 million now. It spent $30 billion last month alone. The central bank said Monday it would stop intervening every day in the market to keep the currency up and instead take aim at speculators. To do that, it will limit loans to banks that use the money to go out and buy dollars. Central Bank Chief Elvira Nabiullina also said it will intervene “at any moment in the amount necessary to counter speculative demand.” The currency strengthened on Monday’s news, trading up 2.3 percent at 45.6 rubles a dollar in late trading. If the Russian economy  continues to struggle for the next six months, it could explain why Russia counter attacks Egypt and plunders it of its riches.

Isaiah 17: Destruction of Damascus

In the last days, the Bible tells us, a horrible series of events will take place in the lands of Israel and Syria. One of these events is the disappearance of Damascus as one of the premiere cities in the world. The oldest continuously inhabited city on the planet,

Damascus has witnessed at least five thousand years of human history, and some historians believe the city actually dates back to the seventh millennium bc.

This is what God revealed to the prophet Isaiah, and Jeremiah

According to these verses, the cities of Aroer, which are located on the northern bank of the Arnon River just east of the Dead Sea, will also be deserted. However, the passage doesn’t say they will be destroyed in the same manner as Damascus, just that they will be deserted. It may be that people simply flee these cities out of fear.

The Beginning of World War III

In Ezekiel 38-39, an enormous coalition of nations will combine and send their armies against Israel, “a vast and awesome horde will roll down on Israel like a storm and cover the land like a cloud” (38:9, NLT).

Could the events predicted in Isaiah 17 and Psalms 83 be tied to, or a precursor of the war of Gog and Magog as prophesied in Ezekiel 38-39? Although it is not a certainty, the possibility cannot be completely ruled out.

Today’s Headlines

Looking at today’s geopolitical landscape, it’s not difficult to envision the scenario outlined in Isaiah 17 and Psalms 83. Syria has been adamant in its demand that Israel surrender the Golan Heights, threatening war if Israel fails to comply. Meanwhile, the summer 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah has apparently convinced leaders in Damascus that Syria can be victorious in a conflict with Israel by simply overwhelming the tiny nation with rocket attacks. From a greater perspective, it has convinced the entire Islamic world that Israel isn’t the militarily invincible nation it once thought.

Syria’s rocket technology is far more advanced than that deployed by Hezbollah, and Syria is known to possess chemical weapons, including the highly lethal VX and Saran gases. This is, of course, old news. At this point Syria is fully involved in it’s own internal war with Isis to determine which faction will rule Syria. Once their own problems are resolved, I believe their hatred will again be focused on Israel. Syria has indicated that it has ridded itself of their chemical weapons; but suppose some of these chemical weapons were hidden away and stored before the inspectors arrived on scene.

As a side note, I read in last weeks Santa Rosas newspaper, around 7/15/15 that Isis had used chemical gas in at least one of its artillery shells during its attack on the Kurds in Iraq. So this next section could very well happen.

Syria soon will be under the control of Isis and if it attacks Israel with these chemical weapons, or Saran gases inside their rockets; the Israeli response will be swift and devastating. Israel is armed with nuclear weapons, and if its survival is put in question, it will not hesitate to use them. And if Israel does use them to destroy Damascus, the radiation left behind in Damascus would explain why Damascus is no longer populated by humans.

It’s interesting to note that, ‘In the history of Russia and Iran, there has never been an alliance of these two nations until now’.

I believe that the ‘Gog’ referred to in Ezekiel is the leader of Russia (Putin-king of the north), and I believe that Putin is also the seventh King of Rev 17:9-11:

9 “This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits. 10They are also seven kings, five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come: but when he does come, he must remain for a little while. 11The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.

Who are these seven kings? I believe that these are the (5) countries, and rulers, that have, in the past, ruled over Israel (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, and Grease). The one that ‘is’, at the time this passage was written, was Rome. Israel was destroyed by Rome in 70 AD, therefore the seventh king could not have come until after Israel was reestablish in 1948, and will be Russia with their leader Putin (Gog). He will remain for a little while, and will attempt to attack Israel in our future. ‘The beast who once was, and now is not’, will also indwell the eighth king, the anti-Christ.

‘The beast who once was and now is not’, is the Devil, who was on the earth several times in the past; the last time he was on earth was to tempt Jesus during the 40 days and nights just before Jesus started His mission on earth.

There are so many dead (I believe, around 4 million) that it will take Israel seven months to bury all the dead.

I believe what will happen is, after this large army of the Russians and Islamic nations is destroyed by God, the radical Islamic faction will not believe that God was the cause of this overwhelming army being wiped out on the mountains of Israel. Their God is Allah, and according to the Koran he is on the side of Islam, so this disaster, from their perspective, could not been at the hand of God. Perhaps they will say that ‘special forces’, from the American Army infiltrated this Islamic and Russian army and started the confusion by turning their weapons on their supposed compatriots and firing on them. Therefore they could blame the United States for their destruction and could retaliate…. As is indicated by

Revelation 12:17

17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring —  those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Here the dragon, means the devil, and the woman means Israel.

Those who obey God’s commandment and believe in the testimony of Jesus’ are Christens, and by far the largest christen community is in the United States. Therefore I believe that what could happen is Russia and Iran, two countries that already believes that the United States is aligned with the devil, will make war with us; just as Iraq did, only this time it will be much more deadly. Because I believe this time they would use nuclear weapons. They might even chose the same areas in the United States to attack that Iraq did.

Ezekiel 39:6 reads that God will send fire on Russia, “I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands and they will know that I am the Lord”

We don’t know what form the fire will take, it could be from space, from volcanoes or nuclear missiles. If Russia and Iran chose to collaborate in a nuclear attack on the United States, it would definitely explain Ezekiel 39:6, and the United States would, regrettably, retaliate with a nuclear attack of their own on the attacking countries, I don’t have a date for this but it would probably be sometime in the late teen years or early 20’s.

Now that I’ve outlined a few things that I believe could happen in the near future, does the bible spell out what will happen and when it will happen? I think that the best answer for this is indirectly in Daniel 8:8-14, 26.

 Daniel 8:8-14,26

After spending considerable time studding these passages the only thing that seemed like a timing event was Daniel 8:8-9. In verse 8 Daniel is obviously talking about Alexander the Great and his four generals that took over after he died, then in verse nine I believe Daniel is talking about the time of the end, the ‘horn’ he is referring to,  I believe is the ‘beast’ of the end days, because several of the things that are said in Daniel verses 11-12 are done, according to Revelations, by the beast during the end times.

13Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to him, “How long will it take for the vision to be fulfilled ─ the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, the rebellion that causes desolation, and the surrender of the sanctuary and of the host that will be trampled underfoot?”

14He said to me, “It will take 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be reconsecrated.”

In verse 14, I believe Daniel gives us the key to solving this puzzle. He is saying that the  ‘sanctuary’ or ‘Temple’ will be reconsecrated in 2300 years. The first and second temples were consecrated and then destroyed so, this could only be the third Temple.

The last two to die were, Lysimachus and Seleucus, and they died the same year 281BC. If we add 2300 years to the year they died, 281BC we get 2019AD. And therefore, I believe that 2019 will be the year the third temple will be consecrated in Israel. (Daniel 8:14 It will take 2300 evenings and mornings: then the sanctuary will be reconsecrated). If we allow building time for the temple, which the Israelites are saying will take two years, and seven months for burying the dead of Ezekiel’s war in chapter 38-39, we would come back to around the middle of 2016. Thus I believe we have a date for the war in Ezekiel 38-39. I believe that before the temple can be built, two things have to happen, fist the mosque that is now standing on the temple mount has to be destroyed. Also, I believe that a lot of the more militant Muslims must die. So lets take a look at how this could possibly happen. The first thing to look at would be how could the Mosque that now stands in Jerusalem could be destroyed without Israel being blamed for it’s destruction. I believe that this is accomplished in Ezekiel 38:19-20.

I also believe that many of the more militant Islamist will join this Russian coalition in the attempted attack on Israel and will die in Gods wrath, as is indicated by Ezekiel 38:7-13.

Thus the way will be cleared for the Israelites to build the third Temple, and they will start building it after they finishing burying the dead from this war, which should be in the early part of 2017. Two years later they will dedicate this third temple on the Passover of 2019.

As for Egypt attacking Russia, and Russia responding with a counter attack on Egypt. And Damascus being destroyed, I believe that these things will happen before the war of Ezekiel 38-39. So that would put these two things as happening between the end of 2015 and the first half of 2016.

I believe the next thing that will happen, after the dedication of the Temple, is that during the second half of 2019 the false prophet will turn 30. And just as all Gods apostles started their apostleship at 30, as well as Jesus starting his mission also at the age of 30. The false prophet will then become known to the world at age 30, in the second half of 2019. I believe the Muslims will call him the Twelfth Imam and he will unite all the Muslims on the earth and they will back the false prophet and he will support the anti-Christ. This false prophet and the anti-Christ will have an unbreakable relationship during their entire time on earth. Their relationship will mirror the relationship that John and Jesus had, but their relationship will be based on the evil that they will do on the earth, instead of the good that John and Jesus did.

I believe that the anti-Christ will come on the seen six month to a year after the false prophet becomes known to the world, probably around 2020.

All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast ─ all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.

I believe that the anti-Christ will become known in the early 2020’s and will become the leader of Grease, in the mid 2020’s he will become the leader of the 10 nation confederation, and in the late 2020’s he will be the leader of the entire world.

Daniel 9:26 …The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary.

The explanation of Daniel 9:26 is this: The Romans (people of the ruler) destroyed the city (Jerusalem) and the Temple (sanctuary) in 70 AD. So the ruler to come will have a Roman heritage, and therefore the antichrist will look like the classic Roman. Rev 13:2 tells us that the beast resembles a leopard, as the leopard is associated in the bible with Greece, so I believe the beast will be born in Greece and have a lot of pride, will speak very boastfully, and like the lion be able to back up what he says. His speech is skillful and mesmerizing to the huge audiences that listen to him, no one in history has been able to completely capture and convince people that their ideas are right, like the beast can. The feet of a bear is a reference to Persia (The feet do most of the grunt work for the body, the false prophet who will be the leader of all the Muslims and will do most of the grunt work for the anti-Christ); so the second beast or false prophet will probably come from Persia, and Satan controls both of them.

9I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars ─ I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you.

I believe that (Rev 13:11-17) is true, which would mean that ‘we Christians’ who are living today are the Philadelphian church and that we will be taken away in the rapture. When the elect of the Laodicea church is gathered, at the mid point of tribulation, the church age would then come to a close. (For more information on all these things I have talked about in this article refer to my article on Revelation)

I believe that Ezekiel gives us a broad brush chronological overview of the end times with the four major themes that he covers in chapters 37-43. The first theme is covered in Chapter 37 and concerns the Israelite return to their own nation, which was established in 1948; and is  also the sign that the end times has begun.  And, of course, this has already happened.

The second theme of Ezekiel is in chapters 38-39 and concerns the war of Gog and Magog (which is the Russian and Islamic confederacy setting up for an attack against Israel, which I believe is also seal number four. [again for more information on this, look at my article on Revelation]). Chapter 38:19 indicates that a very large earthquake will occur in Israel, so large that ‘every wall will fall to the ground’ as the Mosque, that’s in Jerusalem, has ‘walls’, I believe this Mosque will be destroyed in this earthquake; which will clear the way for the third temple to be built.

These dimensions were obviously intended for the third temple which chapter 43 makes very clear by indicating that, ‘Jesus will walk into this temple upon his second return to earth’.

I believe that there are two major occurrences between the third theme of Ezekiel (the third temple being completed) and the fourth theme of Ezekiel (Jesus’ second return to earth) . I believe that sometime after the third temple is built and before the tribulation starts, that the rapture will occur (seal number five). I believe that God has put quite a few prophesies that will come true before the rapture to give everyone plenty of time to repent and turn to Jesus; if they miss the rapture they will have no one to blame but themselves. And, of course, the other major occurrence is the starting of tribulation, which ends with Jesus’ second return.

Let them consider the plan, 11and if they are ashamed of all they have done, make known to them the design of the temple ─its arrangement, its exits and entrances ─its whole design and all its regulations and laws.

We’ve talked about the fall of Damascus as a city, The war between Egypt and Russia, the war of Gog and Magog and the building of the temple and the rapture.

The whole point on this entire message about what I believe is going to happen in the immediate future; is that the bible contains exactly what is going to happen, and the bible was written by God through many people. At this point there will be a second gathering of the elect; a second chance, if you will, for those who became new christens after the rapture and who now belong to Gods kingdom.

Do you think He wants you to do anything about what is going to happen in our future?…

I believe the answer to this questions is answered in:

Daniel 12:1-4

1At that time Michael the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people ─everyone whose name is found written in the book ─will be delivered.

I will leave what happens after the mid point of tribulation for someone who is alive at that point of time to write about; I have written about this time frame in my article on Revelation, but this future time frame has many very difficult passages.

A final thought, if these prophecies start to happen in your future, what will you think and what, if anything, will you do? …

Your eternal future will depend on your answers to this question.

Am I a watchman for our current generation, do these words from:

Ezekiel 3:17-19,  apply to us?

17“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear  the word I speak and give them warning from me. 18When I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surly die,’ and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 19But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.
